RHP Lex Meinderts Activated From VISA Inactive List
ON THE ROAD (July 21) – Washington has activated right hander Lex Meinderts from the VISA inactive list.
Meinderts pitched three seasons at Lyon (NAIA). He was 4-1 with a 3.25 ERA in 2020 in seven games, five of which were starts, including a shutout. In 27.2 innings, he allowed 17 walks and struck out 36. He was 6-7 in 2021 with a 2.89 ERA in 13 games (12 starts). He worked five complete games and had a shutout in 65.1 innings. He struck out 82.
The righty worked his final two seasons at LSU-Shreveport. In 2024, he was 3-0 in 14 games (eight starts). In 32.2 innings, he allowed 10 runs (eight earned) with 17 walks and 33 strikeouts and a 2.20 ERA. This season, for the club that went 59-0 and won the NAIA World Series, he was 2-0 with seven saves in 20 appearances (two starts). In 32.1 innings, he allowed 21 hits and 15 runs (13 earned) with just eight walks and 47 strikeouts.
Washington opens a series with the ThunderBolts Tuesday, July 22. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35/6:35 p.m. CT.
