Washington Signs Catcher Jordan Siket to Active Roster as 1 of 3 Moves Since Sunday

WASHINGTON, Pa. (July 15) – The Washington Wild Things have signed catcher Jordan Siket today in a set of three transactions submitted to the Frontier League since Sunday’s finale against Lake Erie.

Siket played in 2024 in two leagues and with two teams: appearing in four games for Lancaster in the Atlantic League, where he was 3-for-11, and in 24 games for Fargo-Moorhead of the American Association, where he slashed .266/.310/.316 with a double, a homer, his first as a pro, and four RBI. The catcher played for both Empire State and Québec in 2023 in the Frontier League. With the Greys, he slashed .253/.268/.284 with 10 runs, three doubles and four RBI, He had seven hits in 38 at bats for Québec, while he drove in three for the Capitales.

The Pottstown, Pennsylvania native played at Northampton Community College (NJCAA). He hit four home runs and drove in 22 with seven doubles in 23 games in 2021 there. He went to Owen J Roberts High School.

Catcher Marshall Awtry was released to make room on the active roster and stay at the minimum of 22 active players for the time being. Right hander Jackson Hicks was released from the 7-Day Injured List following Sunday’s game.

The Wild Things open the unofficial second half of the season Friday at Sussex County.
