Fernandez enters his first year with the Washington Wild Things and 8th of pro ball. His most recent stop was in the Atlantic League, when he played for the Road Warriors in 2018, after playing in the independent Can-Am League in 2017 post release from the Twins organization. In the MIN farm system, JJ reached as high as Cedar Rapids (Class A). His 11 home runs last year were a career high in his time in professional baseball, and he’s totaled 33 in his last three seasons. JJ signed with the Wild Things February 20, 2019.
