Former WT Manager, Greg Jelks, Passes Away

The Washington Wild Things family is deeply saddened by the passing of former team manager, Greg Jelks. Jelks served in that role in 2008, and led the team to a 48-48 record. He was instrumental in the development of the Wild Things organization, and will be greatly missed by the Wild Things staff, as well as other members of the baseball community.

“Our entire organization is saddened by this loss.  Greg was, and has always been, a part of the Wild Things family,” said Steve Zavacky, Washington Wild Things General Manager. “Greg was a great leader and was respected not only in the Frontier League, but in the baseball community around the world. It’s a great loss for all that knew, played and worked with him.”
