New Options at The Bar, Happy-Half Hour

The Washington Wild Things are dedicated to making new, exciting improvements to the ballpark each year and with our 15th year anniversary we are going BIGGER and BETTER.

Our Picnic Bar will be reconfigured as a social experience with a specialty drink menu. Consider yourself a beer savant or simply like to expand your taste buds?  The Bar will offer a monthly featured craft beer, from our list of partnered breweries, and will be served by a brand new 3-keg draft system. If you’re looking for something more refreshing, check out the alcoholic slushy drinks served in custom Wild Things souvenir drink ware. The slushy menu will be showcased by a frozen Margarita but other drink options will be offered.

To further the social experience, seating will be at a premium as we also install 2 HD TVs. Now you never have to miss a snap or puck-drop, while maintaining a great view of the baseball action. If you get hungry and you do not want to miss a pitch, no problem, the Picnic Bar is full-service and can get pizza or wings delivered right to you.

“We are excited for the new-look Picnic Bar and what it offers our fans. Not only does it enhance the fan experience but it allows us to expand our audience. This year we encourage fans to get out of their seats, explore the new stands and try new things. We invite you to bring a group of friends and enjoy the season with us.”, Director of Food & Beverage Jordan Millorino stated.

Beyond the reconstruction of the Picnic Bar, welcome the introduction of “Happy Half-Hour”. You have heard of Happy Hour but these beers are BIGGER and the savings are BETTER. From gates opening, fans will have 30 minutes to receive half off 24 ounce domestic drafts. Don’t worry, this deal is in place EVERY home game but be sure to arrive early!

“Happy Half-Hour was developed to create some buzz at the ballpark when gates open. This is another program to show our dedication to the fans and reward them with a better overall experience with us.”, noted Millorino.

In addition to the changes during the season, the Washington Wild Things will be hosting their First Annual “Sip Away Tax Day” event. The April 15th beer, whiskey and wine event takes place from 4pm to 8 p.m. at the ballpark. Baseball and Beer Fans are invited out for a fun evening of taste testing, as well as a preview of the craft beers to be featured during the season. Attendees will receive unlimited tastes from all vendors and a souvenir glass commemorating the event. Designated drivers and those under 21 are permitted to enter for free.
