Season Ticket Holder Spotlight

How long have you been a season ticket holder with the Washington Wild Things?

From the very beginning!

Why did you decide to become a season ticket holder?

Both my husband and I like baseball; Stanley used to play baseball when he was younger, and I umpired and played softball. We both just really enjoy the sport!

What is your favorite promotion at the ballpark?

Over the years they had some nice, quality giveaways - umbrellas, beach towels, fleece covers. I like the theme nights; we always bid on jerseys. If I had to pick one thing, I would definitely say the quality giveaways.

Why do you think fans should become season ticket holders/attend Wild Things games?

They’re fun! The kids who play the game seem to be having fun, even though they are striving to go to another level. The people who work at the park are nice, and if you just enjoy the sport you should go!

Why do you love baseball?

I grew up with baseball; played, managed and coached softball. I know how to keep score, how to manage, how to move players to the left side because of a pull hitter, different batting stances and just so many different things about baseball. Both my husband and I think of baseball that way; we just enjoy it.

What is your favorite memory with the Wild Things?

We hosted a player from Canada, Steven Spragg, and his wife. The second year we hosted them, they had a child named Hannah. They now have three children and are doing mission work. It was firth hosting experience; we have now hosted five players!
