Lookin' Good in 2017

The Washington Wild Things are preparing to unveil a new look as they celebrate the #Celebrate 15 seasons! The theory is: If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you play good! Here is a sneak preview of what you can expect to see when 2017 Washington Wild Things take the field.

The team will be sporting three styles of hats designed by our friends at The Game; the look may refresh some memories. Both in-game hats will be renditions of the team’s original look in the early 2000s. A clean cut, all-black hat will sport the famous “W” with Wild Thing’s face centering the crown. A red bodied hat will be contrasted with a black bill and the signature “cat-head” logo. A special batting practice hat will showcase the script “WT” and it will be enhanced with an athletic mesh back,  for those hot summer days.

“We are really excited to bring back this look to Washington. Our players grind through a 96 game season in some extreme temperatures, so quality is always a must,” noted Director of Team Operations, Tony Buccilli. These hats will fly off the shelves once fans see them!”

The Wild Things will also be wearing three new jerseys in 2017, some will be reminiscent of the early years. But the Wild Things are known to push some boundaries, so expect a jersey or two to really stand out from the norm.

“I feel like we have a nice balanced look for 2017. We are going to be able to look very traditional one night, and reveal some more ‘new age’ styles the next. Of course we are working on some great promotional jerseys for our fans to collect, so be sure to follow our social media,” added Buccilli.
