Season Ticket Holder Spotlight: The Rohanna's
  • How long have you been a season ticket holder with the Washington Wild Things?

A: The 2017 season will be our third year as full season ticket holders.  We spent a few years before that as half season, and even 13 game, ticket holders.

  • Why did you decide to become a season ticket holder?

A: We fell in love with the team and the ballpark the very first time we took our family there 11 years ago. After having seats in all different sections over the years, we found our forever home 6 years ago. We have a fantastic view and the other season ticket holders in our section are just great.  We have become friends and always have a good time. We also have the best usher, John!

  • What is your favorite promotion at the ballpark?

A: Fireworks Fridays! The display is better than what some places do for the Fourth of July!

  • Why do you think fans should become season ticket holders/attend Wild Things games?

A: You can’t go wrong with the Wild Things! The players are great; they really love the game and play with heart every night. Then, even if the game didn’t go the way they wanted it to, they still put a smile on and sign things for the kids. They love the game and it shows!  The staff are always kind and helpful. From the front office to the concession stand, we’ve always gotten good customer service. The ball park is beautiful and so family-friendly.  There is literally not a bad seat in the entire park (and we’ve tried a lot of them out!) Driving to the stadium and the parking are a dream. No crazy traffic or outrageous parking fees! The ticket prices are very reasonable! Don’t forget the Wild Thing himself - he keeps everyone entertained all season and seems to have endless energy (even when it’s extremely hot).

  • Any thoughts for the 2017 season and 15th year anniversary?

A: We would love to see some of the past players come back to celebrate with the team. An alumni game would be so fun! [We are] so excited to celebrate 15 years.  We hope the community continues to support this team and keep them around for 15 more!

  • Why do you love baseball?

A: It’s a lot of things.  The heat on your neck, the crack of the bat, the excitement of a slide into home for a game winning run, the coach and umpire arguing about a call and the thrill of a ball going over the wall in the deep part of the park are what I think of when I think summer.  I don’t think I could say exactly what makes me love baseball, I just know there isn’t any place I’d rather be in the summer!

  • What is your favorite memory with the Wild Things?

A: Two stand out - first, is when C.J. Beatty gave our daughter a broken bat. She still thinks it’s one of the best baseball keepsakes ever! The second, and probably several peoples favorite, is when Matt Sergey pitched the perfect game! What an amazing night!
