Wild Things Comeback to Defeat Lake Erie

WASHINGTON, PA - The Washington Wild Things (4-2) completed a three game series against the Lake Erie Crushers (3-3), Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Sprenger Stadium. Washington defeated Lake Erie with a nailbiting score of 10-9.  

LHP Trevor Belicek (0-1) started on the mound for the Wild Things. In his 3.1 innings on the mound, Belichek struck out five batters. RHP Joe Ravert (1-0) earned the win for Washington. In his 1.0 inning on the mound, allowed a solo hit and struck out two batters. His ERA stays at 0.00. RHP Zack Strecker earned the save for the Wild Things - allowing no hits in his 1.0 inning of work.                            

The Lake Erie Crushers jumped with an early lead, scoring five runs in the second inning; followed by four in the fourth. Washington continued to execute offensively, and began chipping away at the deficient in the fourth when Jace Conrad hit a three-run homerun. Hector Roa also hit a homerun in the fifth, and Bralin Jackson knocked in Conrad in the sixth. Washington scored four more runs off of Crusher errors in the seventh, giving the visiting team a 10-9 lead.
