2017 Playoff Tickets On Sale Now

WASHINGTON, Pa. - As the Wild Things push for the 2017 Frontier League Playoffs, tickets for the potential playoff games are on sale now. Fans can purchase their playoff tickets by coming to the box office at Wild Things Park or by calling it at 724-250-9555.

The first round playoff games at home would be Tuesday, September 5, and Wednesday, September 6, with first pitch for both nights at 7:05 p.m. If the Wild Things were to advance, they’d host game three of the Championship series as well as game four, which would be an if necessary game. The games in that round would be Friday, September 15, and Saturday, September 16.

The only was the dates would change would be if Washington was the No. 3 seed in the playoffs and both wild card teams won, in which case, the wild card dates would stay the same and the championship round dates would be Tuesday and Wednesday, September 12-13.

Should the team not make the playoffs, fans who purchase playoff tickets for the 2017 season will have their money credited to tickets for the 2018 season of Washington Wild Things baseball. That also stands for tickets purchases for the championship round that can’t be used if the Wild Things were to bow out in the first round.

As of this release, the Washington Wild Things are a half game out of the second wild-card spot, as they trail the Windy City ThunderBolts. Five teams are in the race for the wild card spots, all within four games of each other with six left. The two exceptions to that are River City, who is 1.5 games backs of the wild card spot with five games to play, and Washington, which has seven left.

The Wild Things begin a three-game set with the Joliet Slammers with a doubleheader tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30, at 6:05 p.m.
