WASHINGTON, PA – The Washington Wild Things (29-26) completed a series victory against the River City Rascals (26-29) Thursday night at CONSOL Energy Park. Washington defeated River City by a final score of 3-0.

Trevor Foss (8-4) picked up the shutout win on the mound for Washington. In a game that remained scoreless until the bottom of the 6th inning, the Wild Things finally made their mark on the scoreboard. The hitting continued as an RBI single from Chris Grayson brought home McGruder, extending the lead to 2-0.

The Rascals threatened to score in the top of the 7th with a runner on base, but solid defense from the Washington infield forced a 6-4-3 double play followed by a ground out to end the inning. Washington added to their lead in the bottom of the 7th courtesy of Austin Wobrock who delivered an RBI single to extend the lead to 3-0.
