Wild Things Salute Military Men and Women

WASHINGTON, PA – CONSOL Energy Park will be hosting a “Military Appreciation Night” during a Friday, August 19, 2016, 7:05 p.m. matchup between the Washington Wild Things and Schaumburg Boomers. The game will celebrate, give thanks to and show respect for current and retired military men and women.

The evening will raise monies for Operation Troop Appreciation – a local nonprofit that “builds and sustains the morale and well being of the military community, past and present, with the assurance that the American public supports and appreciates their selfless service and daily sacrifices.” The player’s jerseys, which are sponsored by Comcast, will be available for purchase through silent auction. Current and retired military members can attend the game for free; friends and family can purchase additional tickets for $8.

"The Washington Wild Things are excited to honor and recognize our local heroes and soldiers,” said Zack Kaminski, Corporate Account Executive for the Washington Wild Things. “The sacrifices that our military men and woman make every day to ensure our rights and freedom, this will be our opportunity to personally thank them for serving by inviting them to CONSOL Energy Park for a night of fun."
