Wild Things Fall To Crushers

The Washington Wild Things (46-49) and the Lake Erie Crushers (47-48) met at All Pro Freight Stadium the finale of a three game set on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 5:05 p.m. Washington fell to the Crushers in their season finale with a score of 10-2.

RHP Chase Cunningham (7-10) was the losing pitcher for Washington; during his five innings on the mound, Cunningham struck out one Crusher and allowed eight hits. Lake Erie RHP Juan Caballero (5-1) earned the win on the hill.

Lake Erie scored early when Jose Barraza hit an RBI in the first; they scored again the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth when Parker Norris hit a home run, and Robb Paller, Sean Hurley, Brendan Costantino and Eric Grabe all recorded RBIs. The Wild Things scored their pair of runs in the fourth when Chris Grayson hit a home run and Grant Fink drove in David Popkins. The final score was 10-2 in favor of the Crushers.
