WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 21) – The Washington Wild Things have announced the addition of infielder Ramon Osuna to the 2022 roster. Osuna has been playing in the Mexican League in 2018 after a brief stint with the Gateway Grizzlies that followed time in the Braves’ farm system.

A native of Guadalajara, Mexico, the 26-year old was a 14th Round pick of the Braves in 2016 out of Walters State Community College (Morristown, TN). He played parts of two seasons in the Atlanta organization and reached A-Ball with Rome in the South Atlantic League. He hit four home runs and drove in 33 in 67 combined games between Danville (Rk) and Rome between 2016-17.

He made a stop with the Gateway Grizzlies in 2017 and played in 23 games for Gateway. Osuna drove in 16 and hit two home runs during his stint in Sauget.

Since 2018, he’s played in the Mexican League, most recently stopping with Veracruz in 2021.
