Wild Things To “Strikeout” Breast Cancer

WASHINGTON, PA – Join the Washington Wild Things and CONSOL Energy Park as they help fight breast cancer during an August 20, 2016 matchup against the Schaumburg Boomers. This annual event, partnered with the American Cancer Society, will raise funds and bring awareness to the cause.

The Washington Wild Things will be wearing pink jerseys – compliments of Mylan – to help raise awareness; these one-of-a-kind jerseys will be auctioned off during the outing and directly benefit the American Cancer Society. CONSOL Energy Park and the Washington Wild Things will also be donating 50 percent of ticket sales through the society directly back to the cause. The American Cancer Society will be in the ballpark to educate attendees about the signs and proper care of breast cancer symptoms.

“We love this event at CONSOL Energy Park,” said Elana Williams, Director of Operations at CONSOL Energy Park. “This is a way for us to give back to a great organization, the community and a cause that many of us really care about.”
