Wild Things Fall to Beach Bums

The Washington Wild Things (36-40 and the Traverse City Beach Bums (34-44) played game two of three game set on August 17, 2016. Washington fell to Traverse City with a score of 6-1 in the nine-inning outing.

LHP Matt Snyder (1-1) recorded the loss for Washington. In his 5.1 innings on the mound, Snyder allowed seven hits and struck out five Beach Bums. RHP Augie Gallardo (1-0) was the winning pitcher for Traverse City.

Washington was first to crack the scoreboard when Justin Garcia hit his first Wild Thing homerun. Traverse City answered in the bottom half of the second when Giancarlo Brugnoni knocked a two-run homerun. Traverse City earned four more through the fifth and the sixth off two hits and a sacrifice fly.

The Wild Things will end their road trip tomorrow, Thursday, August 18, 2016 with the series finale against the Traverse City Beach Bums starting at 7:05 p.m. EST.
