Peter Barakat - Account Executive

Pete considers himself to be a “sports junkie” and won’t pin himself down to having a favorite team or a favorite sport. He does, however, admit to rooting for The Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

The Pittsburgh native graduated from Syracuse University where he studied broadcast journalism. During his tenure at Syracuse University he interned with WSTM TV (an NBC affiliate) where he covered both Syracuse and the Buffalo Bills. He also interned for the Syracuse Crunch Hockey team.

Barakat is not new to the sports industry in this market. He spent two years with the Pittsburgh Pirates and six years with the Penguins. He has even coached high school volleyball – spending time coaching Junior Olympics as well as Seton-LaSalle High School.
