Wild Things Fall to 14-9 on the Season
The Washington Wild Things (14-9), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, fell to the Evansville Otters (11-13) at Bosse Field in Evansville Indiana Saturday night by a score of 10-6.
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the second inning when The Wild Things gave up seven runs with an error and three wild pitches.
Patrick O’Brien and Robbie Knapp each scored two run home runs during the game.
Patrick Sadler (2-1) took the loss for the Wild Things, pitching only one inning. J.J. Hollenbeck worked four innings and Jeff Michael pitched three innings.
The Wild Things meet the Otters for game two of a three game set Sunday when game time is 7:05 p.m. Eastern time. Air time for the game on WJPA 95.3 FM is 6:55 p.m. The Wild Things return to CONSOL Energy Park Tuesday night when they’ll host the Southern Illinois Miners.
